Rubbish, waste and recycling

Each week we collect around 3,000 tonnes of waste from over 135,000 households. We are continuing to work together with residents to reduce the amount of waste disposed of in the borough and to manage waste collected in an environmentally friendly way. You can do your bit by using the following services regularly:

Rubbish and waste

Recycling

With the amount of rubbish we throw away steadily rising and the amount of landfill space, where this rubbish is disposed of, steadily falling, it has never been more important to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The more waste that we dispose of, the more we have to pay. So, by cutting down on waste we will save money as well as help the environment. So please try to reduce, reuse and recycle as much of your waste as you can using the services listed above.
