Carers Strategy Group
The multi-agency Carers Strategy Group aims to have a strategic plan which supports carers and improves health and social care practice.
The Strategy Group has created a draft of the Barnet Inter-agency Carers Draft Strategy 2009-2012 
(PDF: 151KB) which was developed to provide a consistent approach to the development of services for carers in Barnet. Carers representatives and local voluntary organisations are members of the strategy group together with health and Adult Social Services. Until 12 June 2009, a consultation on the content of the stategy was carried out.

The Strategy Group will ensure that the three year action plan arising from the strategy is put into practice and ensure that carers in the borough have the opportunity to influence the services they receive. Work on this has begin, and includes the development of a training programme for carers and improving access to information.
