Disability and Independence Steering Committee
The consultation document 'Our Life, Our Services, Our Say’ from the Physical and Sensory Impairments Partnership Board sets out a vision for the future of day services based on supporting people with disabilities to:
- access prompt rehabilitation, assessment and treatment
- regain skills and confidence
- have relevant support and advice, and
- access a range of vocational and leisure opportunities in the local community.
This vision sets out a day service provision made up of three service strands:
- rehabilitation and enablement
- condition self-management and peer support, and
- community access.
