What you should bring when you come into hospital?
Please bring comfortable clothing as hospitals encourage people to wear their own clothes as a part of getting better. Please also bring soap, face cloth, toothbrush/paste, deodorant, shampoo, razor/shaving cream, brush/comb and non-slip slippers/shoes. If you use a hearing aid, glasses, dentures or walking aid at home could you please bring them with you.
Will I receive any help with travelling costs?
You may be entitled to help with the cost of travelling to and from hospital to attend appointments. To find out more please ask the receptionist at the hospital you attend for details.

NHS Direct provides information on various medical conditions, symptoms and medicine and health and life style advice. It also allows you to send health questions to a team of health professionals and find a local health service using your postcode. You can also contact NHS direct for telephone information or advice on 0845 46 47. The service is available 24 hours a day.
NHS Immunisation provides up to date information on vaccines, diseases and immunisation in the UK. It also provides information on why vaccines are given, risks associated with immunisation, how vaccines work, background information on the development of vaccines and immunisations and the effects of immunisation globally.
