Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT)
The new Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT) is the single point of contact for most referrals for mental health services.
The PCMHT consists of a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, community psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologist/psychologist and graduate mental health workers.
The team provides assessment and treatment, together with an appropriate care plan if required. The PCMHT is an active treatment service providing time limited interventions and care packages.

Mental Health Partnership Board
The Mental Health Partnership Board is the inter-agency mechanism in Barnet to improve the mental health and well-being of people in Barnet (aged 18-64 years) who suffer from a mental illness.

(PDF: 610KB) builds on Barnet Mental Health Strategy 2005.
The document sets out the commissioning and decommissioning intentions of Barnet Primary Care Trust and the London Borough of Barnet for 2007-2010 for adults of working age who are resident within the boundaries of the London Borough of Barnet.
It provides a framework to support the provision of flexible, responsive and equitable services to respond to a broad continuum of health and social needs to support us to meet national and local key targets.
