Lunch / social clubs
There are many lunch clubs around the borough providing a midday meal one or more days a week. Some also provide social activities, and may be able to offer transport. All can be contacted directly by older adults or their carers for more information on meeting times and facilities.
Barnet Asian Women’s Association
This group offers advice, information, social activities, devotional meetings, and outings for women from different Asian communities.

Coffee Stop
Churches Together for Chipping Barnet hold a ‘Coffee Stop’ which is run by volunteers who serve coffee, tea and biscuits and provide a friendly environment to chat and meet new people.

This organisation provides two lunch clubs. One is for Muslim women, held two Wednesdays each month. The other lunch club is held most Tuesdays.

This small group meets once a week to gather, chat and spend time together.

Hendon Satsang Mandal
This is a social club for Asian women over 50 years. They organise prayers, discussion groups, exercises and have health visitors.

The Good Neighbourhood Scheme for Mill Hill and Burnt Oak
GNS runs 2 weekly Lunch Clubs, both term-time only, for older people in the Mill Hill and Burnt Oak area, where a 2 course hot meal, plus tea or coffee, is served in pleasant surroundings, with congenial company. Transport may be available for those with mobility problems.

Sangam Association of Asian Women
This association has clubs for both men and women. There is mens yoga every Monday, with a senior mens club between 1pm and 3pm. Ladies yoga takes place every Monday and Tuesday, with the senior ladies club taking place on Tuesday afternoons.
