Council Housing
Barnet’s 15,000 council homes, including 4000 leasehold properties, are managed and maintained by Barnet Homes. This organisation is an arms length organisation (ALMO) set up in 2004 and wholly owned by Barnet Council.

Access to council housing
We have far more people who would like to access council housing than the number of homes available. To ensure that we help the people in the highest housing need we use a set of rules called the housing allocations scheme.
