Allocated council home/lettings

Finding a home in Barnet
We had approximately 2900 people apply to go on our waiting list last year and 2300 people in temporary accommodation. The council works in partnership with housing associations to provide housing for those who are most vulnerable and in greatest need. Demand for homes in the borough is high.
Barnet Council owns approximately 12,000 homes of its own. Last year we were able let 610 new tenancies, 80% of these to homeless families. We also nominated people to 290 housing association homes in the borough.
