Responding to complaints of poor housing conditions in private sector housing.
We deal with:
- Complaints from residents in private sector housing relating to disrepair, health and safety issues, statutory nuisances and noise
- Dampness including condensation

- Defective electrical installations
- Overcrowding
- Rats, mice, cockroaches, bedbugs

- Defective sinks, baths, WC’s and other sanitary facilities
- Defective cooking and food preparation facilities
- Disconnection of water, gas, or electricity where the landlord /agent is in arrears
- Accumulations of refuse on private land
- Bonfires.

Our standards for houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) deal with:
- Number of occupants and room sizes;
- Numbers of kitchens,
- Numbers of bathrooms and WC’s
- Fire safety
