How to apply
You can apply online for planning permission and other consents under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, using The Planning Portal. This service, developed in partnership with the Planning Portal, enables you to fill in and submit electronic forms, attach electronic drawings (preferably in pdf format) and site location plans and to pay the application fee electronically.
The service will advise on the required fee, which can be paid online.
Alternatively, you can make a paper application. You will need to submit: -
- Four copies of completed and signed application forms (FAQs). These can be collected from the Planning Reception at Barnet House. Alternatively, please use the contact details opposite for forms to be posted or emailed to you. Guidance notes (FAQs) are available to help you in submitting your application correctly
- Four copies of plans drawn to scale (normally 1:100 or 1:50)
- Four copies of 1:1250 scale site location plans: Application for an Ordnance Survey Map Extract
(PDF 26KB) - Four copies of a Design and Access Statement (if required).
- One copy of Sustainability Checklist for minor and householder applications
