Adult reading groups
Reading groups are an opportunity to meet and discuss some of the best writing available. Sessions take place once a month. Contact the library concerned for more details. We are pleased to announce a partnership with The Reader Organisation who are now running a reading group every Tuesday in Chipping Barnet and Grahame Park libraries.
If you are already part of a book group, why not borrow one of our Barnet Book Club collections that have been specially designed for reading groups.

** Fancy dropping in for a good read? At community venues and libraries in the borough, The Reader Organisation are running their own brand of reading group. Hearing good writing aloud is the starting point for sharing thoughts, feelings and experiences about the characters and situations, about the world and our own lives. The Get Into Reading model of reader development provides an unusual combination of intellectual stimulation, sense of personal achievement, warmth and companionship and encourages literacy.
