Home Library Service
Barnet Libraries provide a personal book delivery service to residents who are unable to visit their local library and are housebound due to age or infirmity.
The service visits each reader once every four weeks with a selection of books chosen to suit the individual.
Large print books and spoken word cassettes, CDs videos and DVDs are also available. Special requests can be made and any book may be reserved. Application forms and further details are available from any of Barnet's libraries, or directly from:

Those residents who have relatives and friends able to visit a Barnet Library and change their books are not eligible. Occupants of residential homes for the elderly may also use the Home Library Service.
Wardens and supervisors of the homes who would like a collection of books for residents should contact the service directly.
There is also a designated mobile library for residential homes and sheltered housing. Contact the Mobile library service for further details.
Barnet Libraries also has an online catalogue service for renewing items over the Internet and for checking your borrower records. (A password is required for renewals and checking your loans but you do not need a password to use the library catalogue).
