What you can borrow:
- Novels for all ages and tastes
- Information books for leisure and learning
- Large print books
- Books in community languages
- Music scores
- Maps
- Special collections - Vocal and orchestral scores and playsets
- Music CDs
- Spoken word tapes and CDs
- DVDs and videos
- Playstation games
How many and how long?
- Adults and teenagers may have up to 14 items on loan at any one time
- Children may have up to 10 items on loan at a time
- You can have a maximum of 4 DVDs/videos and 2 Playstation games on loan at a time.
- Books, music CDs and spoken word CD’s and cassettes may be borrowed for three weeks, Playstation games for one week and videos and DVDs for 3 or 7 days.
- Books can be borrowed free of charge; CDs and cassettes, Playstation games, videos, DVDs and cassettes have a small loan charge
- Charges are made for all overdue items except children’s items
Renewing your loans
You can renew your loans in person or by telephone through any library. If you ask the library to setup a password you can also renew your loans online
For DVDs, videos, CDs and cassettes a loan charge will apply.
Unless items are already reserved by another borrower you should be able to keep them for a further 21 days (3 or 7 days for videos or DVDs). Please note that you can only renew items three times before you need to bring them back to the library.
Please note that if you do not return your loans by the date they are due a fine will be charged for each item for each day it is overdue.
