What a night. Barnet Celebrating Sports Awards is a great opportunity to thank local people who have contributed so much to the sporting scene in Barnet .

We had celebrities that came to present awards, and answer questions, about their careers were:
- Tim Benjamin – British 400m athlete
- Nadia Williams – International triple jumper
- Micah Hyde and Paul Furlong - Barnet Football Club
- Tom Aggar – 2008 Paralympics rowing champion
And a special guest appearances to answer questions about his career and about Street Athletics.
- Darren Campbell – 2004 4 x 100m Gold Olympic athlete
We also had performances throughout the night from
- SAS martial arts,
- Showstoppers dance act,
- Indoor rowing challenge with Hendon School, Tim Benjamin and guests from the audience.
- Billy Wingrove, Tottenham football club freestyler
- To finish the evening we had a street dance act from Da Youngaz.
The London Borough of Barnet Deputy Mayor Councillor Hugh Rayner gave a great speech to the audience and a vote of thanks to all.
