London Youth Games 2010

After success in the London Youth Games 2009, we are looking for more talented sports people to join in 2010 trials to try to improve on the 2009 results.
Do you want to volunteer?
We will be looking for volunteers to help out with trials, qualifying and final rounds across London. If you are 18 or over and wish to volunteer at the games please contact the sport development team contact details to the left.

- learn new skills and gain valuable experience that could help towards your CV and career opportunities
- meet organisers and discover what happens behind the scene at a large sporting event
- meet athletes on the day and find out about particular sports that may interest you. We will try to match you to a sport of your choice
- your experience gained here may help you to volunteer at other sporting events such as the Olympics Games in London.
Trials and training
If you are aged between 11 and 18 and live or go to school in Barnet and are interested in taking part in one of the 30 sports at the London Youth Games 2010 then please see below information about the trials or contact sport development details on the left.
- Sports consent form
(PDF: 73KB) will be given out at the trials and would need to be filled out by the parents or guardians of the participants and given back to the coach.

There are no trials for athletics and swimming, however, each sport has its own consent form which includes a space to put your current personal best times. The consent form for each of theses sport can be found below.

- archery
- canoeing
- diving
- gymnastics
- sailing
- table tennis
- weightlifting.

Mini London Youth Games
For the Mini London Youth Games (primary school age) we take the winning school team at the borough competitions for most of the sports.
Below are the two sports that we hold trials for:
- Sport hall athletics (school years 5 and 6)
- Swimming (school years 4, 5 and 6)
