Business permits
Business permits can be purchased by businesses operating from premises within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). They allow the holder to park in a Business Permit Holders Only or Permit Holder Only parking place during the controlled hours. The permit can only be used where the zone letters on the permit match the letters on the sign.
To apply for a business permit, you will need to send us a completed application, proof of workplace address, and proof of vehicle ownership. Please send documents by post. We do not operate a public counter.
A maximum of three permits can be bought by one business. The annual cost for each business permit is £300.
Proof of workplace address
We require a sheet of business letter headed paper, clearly showing your business name and address within the London Borough of Barnet, which briefly details the nature of your business.
Proof of vehicle ownership
- Private vehicle – if the vehicle is privately owned we require a copy of the Vehicle Registration Document or Insurance Policy in the applicant’s name.
- Company Vehicle – if the company owns the vehicle we require a letter from the company secretary or car pool manager confirming that the applicant has sole use of the vehicle. It must also include the vehicle registration number and the applicant’s address.
