Graffiti
Barnet spends £250,000 a year on removing graffiti and taking measures to prevent it happening in the first place. It has been found that the best way to prevent vandalism of this type is to remove the graffiti as quickly as possible.
Graffiti is an offence under the Criminal Damage Act 1971 and the Anti Social Behaviour Act 2003, and anyone caught in the act will be prosecuted and could face a fine or imprisonment. View our Graffiti Charter

Graffiti removal
Public land
All racist and offensive graffiti found or reported in the borough is removed within 24 hours by Barnet’s dedicated graffiti removal team who work proactively across the borough. The team is armed with specialist and high pressure cleaning equipment.
Help us by reporting graffiti on public property online
Private land
Barnet also offers a graffiti removal service for private property. If you wish to receive a quote or obtain one of Barnet Councils free graffiti removal kits please contact our Customer Care Unit.
For advice on preventative measures or to supply us with information about vandalism contact our Customer Care Unit. Please inform them of the exact location and a council Officer will inspect and assess the site.
