Free neighbourhood skip service
As part of our work to create 'a cleaner, greener Barnet' we provide a neighbourhood skip service twice a year.
Skips are provided free of charge and will be available for use from 7am - 3pm. You can dispose of unwanted items of rubbish including cardboard and mixed metals which we will recycle. Unfortunately we are unable to take garden waste as this needs to be presented for recycling in your green garden and kitchen waste bin order a green garden and kitchen waste bin
All items must be placed in the skips and not left outside your property. Help for the elderly or those who have assisted refuse collections can be provided. Please ensure you contact our Customer Care Unit before the neighbourhood skip service day
The following items cannot be disposed of in the free skips:
- trade or builders waste
- fridges or freezers
- car batteries – take to the Civic Amenity and Recycling Centre
- car tyres – contact Environmental Tyre Disposal Limited on Tel: 020 8345 6115
