School crossing patrols

School Crossing Patrols are an important part of our efforts to reduce casualties. Traditionally known as Lollipop men and women, these cheery faces also help to brighten up the day of many a schoolchild.

We need School Crossing Patrols!

As a School Crossing Patrol you will help children cross the road on their way to and from school. It will take you an hour or so each day. You will be helping the local community and earning a bit of extra money too.

During school term-time you'll work every day, in all weathers. So you'll need to be reliable and confident. We will train you and provide you with a uniform.

Perhaps you can only work mornings or afternoons? This doesn’t rule you out.

For an application form contact the Traffic Management and Safety Team on 020 8359 7103/7256, email: road.safety@barnet.gov.uk
