Births

Barnet Registration and Nationality Service offers the public the facility to carry out the legal duty of registering births that occur in the London Borough of Barnet. In 2011 we registered 3623 births.

We hold records of all births that took place within Barnet from 1837. We can supply certified copies of these records for a small fee. A certified copy is not a photocopy; it is a document that can be used for legal purposes.

We also provide advice and help on re-registering births and correcting the legal records which may have to be processed through the General Register Office.
