Joining a housing association
Barnet operates a choice based lettings scheme, Home Connections, for council and housing association vacancies.
When housing associations offer vacant properties to the council, they are advertised in the Press and on the Home Connections website.
Applicants bid for properties and are then shortlisted according to their points on the council’s homeseekers register. The housing association will be notified of the shortlist for each property and will offer the property to the bidder with the highest points first.
Please note that housing associations will require applicants to complete an application form and be interviewed before a tenancy can be offered.
