Local land charges - personal search
Search types
Barnet Local Land Charges Service carries out three types of searches:
- LLC1
- CON29
- Full search
1. LLC1
The legal document relating to all the registerable charges e.g. financial charges which could stem from improvement/renovation grants, tree preservation orders, conservation orders, smoke control and noise abatement orders and planning applications which have been approved with conditions since 1 August 1977.
2. CON29
Deals with enquiries relating to planning, highways and environmental services which may affect the property or land. Information required comes from various council departments. Much of the information given on the CON29 form cannot be obtained from any other source. The majority of the information is exclusively available to the Local Land Charges service and is not available to a personal searcher.
3. Full Search
A full local authority search is made up of the LLC1 form and Con29 form and is what is normally requested as part of the conveyencing guarantee a turnaround time of 2 - 3 working days.
A 24 hour service is also offered at extra cost.
