Residents invited to preview tour of £28m new Finchley Memorial Hospital

Residents are being invited to take their first look at the new Finchley Memorial Hospital at a free preview day on 23 August.
Work on the £28m Finchley Memorial Hospital is coming to an end and it will be open for the first time to patients in September 2012.
The local community is being given the chance to have a preview tour of the state-of-the-art building on Thursday 23rd August 2012 from 10am to 7pm.
A variety of services will be moving into the new building including rehabilitation, inpatient beds, a walk-in centre, outpatients' departments, therapies, diagnostics, podiatry, audiology, cardiology, and musculoskeletal services.
Talks are also taking place on other services such as GP surgeries, pharmacy, diabetic retinopathy, pathology and an infusion suite moving into the new building.
Dr Sue Sumners, Chair of Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group, said “This is an exciting time for patients in Barnet. The new Finchley Memorial Hospital is a fantastic purpose-built building with up to date healthcare and new services for local people.”
As well as having an opportunity to take a guided tour of the hospital, guests will have the chance to talk to members of NHS Barnet and their clinical staff. Regular tours will be conducted throughout the day starting at 10am running through to 7pm.
