Published Monday 11 November 2013

Do you know a group or an individual living or working in Barnet who you feel deserves recognition for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the borough?

Nominations are now open for Barnet Council’s Annual Civic Awards 2014.

The awards, now in their 14th year, are an opportunity for the borough to officially recognise the commitment and hard work of those who strive to make a positive difference to the lives of others.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in April 2014 hosted by the Mayor of Barnet Councillor Melvin Cohen.

Nomination forms are available from Hendon Town Hall, any of the borough’s libraries, North London Business Park reception or by downloading a copy.

All entries must be received no later than 31 December 2013.

Councillors of the London Borough of Barnet and previous winners are not eligible for nomination.

The Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Melvin Cohen, said: “I know many of our residents put in a huge amount of their own time and effort helping others.

“Each year I’m astounded by the quality of nominations and contributions. I am delighted that once again we are able to give the public the recognition they deserve.”
