Fifth Happy Healthy Fun Day

On Tuesday 19 June a Happy Healthy Fun Day will be taking place for people with learning disabilities and their families.

The event, which is being organised by Barnet Mencap, Barnet Council and other key partners, gets underway at 10am at the Trinity Centre, 15 Nether Street, North Finchley, N12, and runs until 3.30pm.

There will be a range of information and activities on offer for people with learning disabilities and family carers.

The day, which takes place during Learning Disabilities Week (18-22 June), will include accessible dance, martial arts and yoga sessions, health and dental checks, the Drink it Juice bar, health advice and support, and the chance to experience therapies including massage, reiki and reflexology.

There will also be a sandwich lunch and refreshments available.

Councillor Sachin Rajput, Cabinet Member for Adults, said: “This event is always a tremendous success and a really enjoyable way for those who come along to experience new things and keep fit and healthy.”
