Pensions Increase 2008
Pensions are increased annually in line with inflation. The full increase for 2008 is 3.9% although it will be less if you retired after 22 April 2007.There is no increase payable this year if you retired after 23 March 2008. The increase is effective from 7 April 2008 so your pension for April will be 6 days at the old rate and 24 days at the increased rate.
If you have a Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) some of the increase will be paid within your State Pension. There are more details on this year's pensions increase.
