Inclusion Barnet is a user-led organisation that exists to promote independent living so that disabled people can have choice and control over the way they live their lives.
What does Inclusion Barnet do?
They provide an information, advice, advocacy and brokerage service for disabled people (including those with learning difficulties and mental health issues).
Inclusion Barnet supports people with any form of disability, living or working in the London Borough of Barnet. They provide a neutral access point for individuals seeking information and support from their peers.
Their information line can:
- refer people into a full advice service where appropriate
- put them in touch with a support worker (including specialist mental health services where necessary)
- refer them to a peer support broker
- provide quick advice on local and national sources of specialist information
The service is run by disabled people for disabled people so you can benefit from the experience of skilled and knowledgeable staff if you need:
- help in speaking up
- better access
- more support
- opportunities for social inclusion
