Our 'Meet the Buyer' events are a great opportunity for local small and medium businesses to introduce their services and products to Barnet’s development projects and pipeline.
The 'Meet the Buyer' events are regularly used by Barnet developers, to find new suppliers, connect with old ones or to lay the foundations for future partnerships.

We hosted an online virtual event to provide local businesses in the borough with the opportunity to meet with procurement teams from Argent Related, Bouygues, St Georges PLC, Transport for London, VolkerFitzpatrick and Wates to hear about their process to bid for work.

Company and development profiles
Sharing our Success: Fosters Estate
Bouygues UK’s Residential Team have been appointed as the preferred Contractor for the Fosters Estate Regeneration in Hendon, north west London. We’ve been appointed by Barnet Homes, to deliver a £65M programme of 217 new homes, including 75 Extra Care units. The scheme also includes demolition of two buildings, improvements to the external appearance of some existing residential blocks as well as enhancements to the existing public space, including provision of play space, external community amenity space and new storage for residents.
Planning has already been granted and the project is due to start on site with a programme of early works activities in March 2021 with the delivery team being led by Gary Rooney.

Wates Residential are working in the borough on the regeneration scheme for Grahame Park Estate which is a scheme, from housing association Notting Hill Genesis and Barnet Council.
Plot A is located on the Northwest corner of the estate bounded on three sides by existing streets, Heybourne Crescent and Clayton Field to the West and Great Field to the North and East sides. With a total area of c.1 ha, the site is currently occupied by an assembly of residential buildings, which are currently being demolished as part of a seperate enabling works package.
The works will comprise the design, construction and completion of 5 buildings in one block / plot between 3 and 11 stories to provide 209 new homes and c.410sqm of non-residential floorspace, landscape, open space and public realm, car parking, cycle spaces, infrastructure and ancillary works in connection with.
The development has a mixed tenure of homes comprising 149 Intermediate Shared Ownership (71%) and 60 Social for Rent (29%). Blocks A3, A4, A5, 4 x town houses and 2 x maisonettes are Social Rent.
Design is based on lift on balconies, bathroom pods, utility pods and off site manufactured plant rooms.

Activities in Barnet
We have already recruited two local residents to work as Traffic Marshalls for Galldris on the Brent Cross Town Redevelopment. Also, we have been contracted by VolkerFitzpatrick in Barnet to deliver a pest control service, and we are currently discussing a Gateman Service too at the same site.
In addition to the above we provide Wates with a Barnet resident to deliver a Welfare Cleaning Service and Covid19 Marshall to work at the Signature Barnet Care home site.
