What the Care Act says
Did you know?
The Care Act came into effect in England on 1 April 2015. It aims to make care and support more consistent across the country.
Support for carers
Thousands of people in Barnet provide unpaid care or support to an adult family member or friend, either in their own home or somewhere else.
Caring for someone includes:
- helping with their washing, dressing or eating,
- taking them to regular appointments
- keeping them company.
If this sounds like you, then you may be able to get more help so that you can carry on caring and also looking after your own wellbeing.
