Prince's Trust provides useful guides on starting a business. If you’re aged 18-30, unemployed or working fewer than 16 hours a week and have a business idea, the Enterprise programme can help you decide whether self-employment is right for you.

Prime the Prince’s initiative for Mature Enterprise, supporting business creation by the over 50s. Prime have successfully been awarded a contract to deliver business advice and training to residents over 50 in Barnet keen to be self employed or start a business.

North London Branch run a free monthly networking event in North Finchley taking place on the first Monday of each month.

North London Chamber of Commerce covers Barnet, Enfield , Haringey and Waltham Forest and offers a specialised membership service for local businesses to help raise their profile and generate new opportunities.

Barnet Youth Business Incubator (BAYBI) is a nurturing centre that enhances entrepreneurial talent in young people living in Barnet. They will assist you with your business idea, product or service if you are classified as Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) and fall within the ages of 16 and 25.

Shell Livewire  biggest online community for young entrepreneurs aged 16-30 their business library provide free business advice and tools to help start a business or become self employed. The Grand Ideas Awards offers up to £1,000 prizes each month and an annual £10,000 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
