Barnet Young Carers and Siblings (BYCAS) is part of Barnet Carers Centre (see the separate entry in Directme for Barnet Carers Centre). BYCAS offers support, information as well as outings, youth clubs for young carers and siblings aged between 5-17 living in the Borough of Barnet. A young carer is someone who looks after someone in the family home, such as a parent who has a physical disability, learning disability, mental health illness, or a substance misuse problem. There is an open referral system which can be completed over the telephone or by filling in a referral form.
