London Youth Games

The Balfour Beatty London Youth Games is Europe’s largest annual youth sports event, with all 33 London boroughs taking part in the action.

The London Youth Games has a rich history in producing the country’s most high-profile athletes such as Mark Hunter, Christine Ohuorugu and Sir Bradley Wiggins.

The 2017/18 season has now come to an end.141 young people represented the borough achieving some fantastic results (see full results below). We would like to extend our warm thanks to all the clubs, community groups and parents that supported team Barnet.

Information on 2018/19 trials will be available in due course.

Table tennis

Table tennis had an amazing weekend at the London Youth Games Competition It was a great day for both the boys and girls team. Girls secured the gold again for the second year in a row and the boys narrowly lost out in the finals earning the silver.

Overall it was a great experience for all the competitors and they were proud to represent Barnet. Many thanks to Coach Bhavin Savjani

Trampolining

Congratulations to everyone who participated on Sunday 20 May and particularly to Petar, who finished third to secure the bronze medal for the borough. Many thanks to Coach Nicola Querin.

Judo

Congratulations to Olivia who secured 3rd place taking home the bronze medal in the 52kg weight category.

Waterpolo

Water Polo had an amazing tournament bringing home a Silver medal. A massive congratulation to the team, Coach Aram and everyone else who supported.

Aquathlon

Congratulations to Anastasia who placed 1st in the Year 7 Female Aquathlon
