Proposed New Barnet Council Offices at Colindale
Barnet Council is seeking to relocate its offices in the heart of one of its flagship regeneration areas at Colindale.
The proposed new offices would be located towards the southern end of Lanacre Avenue near its junction with Grahame Park Way. It would form part of a collection of mixed use buildings including the relocated Barnet College (recently commenced on site) and an apartment block with a Sainsbury’s supermarket at ground floor (nearing completion) around a new public square.
The offices will provide approximately 90,000 sq ft of accommodation over several floors on land known as Plot 1A, which is part of Phase 1b of the Grahame Park regeneration area. The site had previously been given planning consent for a larger block of flats as part of the wider regeneration proposals a number of years ago which wasn’t implemented.
The proposed offices will cater for approximately 1200 staff and parking for approximately 70 cars will be provided on and off-site nearby.
Subject to the current consultation process and further design work the Council intends submitting a planning application in the next few weeks whereby the local community will be given a further opportunity to comment on our plans.
We would in the meantime be grateful if you could send us your views in relation to the current proposals by the 1st June to firstname.lastname@example.org and assist us in ensuring we deliver the best possible development for the local area.
