Delivering skills, Employment, Enterprise and Training (SEET) from development through S106 Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) applies to development that generates new jobs through construction and/or end use as well as developments that involve the loss of employment space and require planning permission. The SPD sets out the mechanisms and benchmarks for ensuring that development positively contributes to Barnet’s economy.

Context to national guidance, Core Strategy, Development Management Plan

The SPD sits beneath and implements Local Plan policies in the Core Strategyand the Development Management Policies setting out borough-wide requirements and best practice planning guidance. The SPD will be used as a material consideration and help inform decision making by the planning service and planning committees.Consultation and adoption

The Delivering Skills, Employment, Enterprise and Training (SEET) from development through S106 SPD was subject to consultation between 13 February - 27 March 2014. The Consultation Statement describes how this was conducted and the Council's responses to the comments received.

In accordance with Regulations 11 and 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, notice is hereby given that Barnet Council’s Policy and Resources Committee adopted the Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on Delivering Skills, Employment, Enterprise and Training (SEET) from development through s106 on 14 October 2014.
