The Joint Health and Wellbeing (JHWB) Strategy is one of the key responsibilities of the Health and Wellbeing Board and outlines the commitment to improving health and wellbeing through local commissioning and service planning.
The JHWB Strategy 2015-2020 has been written in light of the recent refresh of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment which has been used as an evidence base to determine the priority areas for action in Barnet. The strategy has been informed by public consultation with partners, colleagues and residents.
Keeping well and promoting independence, the overarching themes of the strategy, outline Barnet's vision for its residents, and cover the following themes:
- Preparing for a healthy life
- Wellbeing in the community
- How we live
- Care when needed
The Health and Wellbeing Board is committed to delivering the JHWB Strategy and will receive regular progress reports on its implementation and positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the borough.
