Eating out has become part of our everyday lives, with 75% of adults in the UK eating out at least once a week.
Food consumed outside the home tends to be higher in saturated fats and salt than food eaten at home. Barnet is committed to helping residents and businesses get healthier by making small changes to their food choices, as small changes can make a big difference to Barnet’s health and reduce obesity in the community.
Healthier Catering Commitment
The Healthier Catering Commitment is a London-wide scheme which publicly recognises and rewards catering businesses that demonstrate a commitment to providing healthier food choices and healthier cooking techniques.
Find a Healthier Catering Commitment business
Businesses that have successfully gained the Healthier Catering Commitment award will have a black Healthier Catering Commitment sticker displayed in their window to promote their award.
There's an additional silver and gold award for businesses that make significant changes to their cooking techniques and menu options.
