Time banded collections

We are introducing times in which households and businesses in Town Centres must put out your waste for collection.

Mill Hill was the first Town Centre where time bands were introduced. These began on Monday 30 July 2018.

We are bringing in time banded collections to ensure our Town Centres are cleaner and greener places to live, work and shop. And to reduce the level of illegal tipping of waste in our borough.

 We want to ensure that:

  • Street cleanliness improves
  • Illegal tipping decreases
  • There are fewer obstructions on roads or pavements.

Note: You may receive a fine or face prosecution if you put your recycling and waste out for collection outside of these times. Our Enforcement Team will be monitoring the streets to ensure that waste is put out and collected correctly. Businesses are responsible for their waste until it is collected. If your waste carrier fails to collect your waste from the public highway within the time band period, you will be accountable. Please remove any sacks that have not been collected by your contractor at the end of the time band specified.
