Home Library Service

The Home Library Service is a free library delivery service available if you are unable to visit your local library. We have temporarily extended our service to anyone who is unable to visit a library for any reason. We visit our customers once a month with a selection of library stock according to their preferences. You can also reserve specific titles just as you would in a library.

Every effort will be made to keep the public informed via various media during a major incident. The police, government and the council will all have information for the public. The quickest way to spread information is via the radio or TV, so you should switch them on at the first opportunity. Radio users should keep enough batteries in case of a power cut. The message is clear - go in, stay in, tune in to your radio or turn on your television. Make sure you also keep checking our website for regular updates.

Saracens event day CPZ

A CPZ (Controlled Parking Zone is in place on days when Saracens play their home matches at Copthall Stadium and on 2 extra ‘major events’ days each year. All matches and events are on Saturdays or Sundays and the CPZ will be in force from 1pm to 6pm.

The role of the council is to ensure that children who are licensed to perform are appropriately supervised. We do this by approving and licensing chaperones so that they can care for the children who are undertaking work in the entertainment industry.
