Solace Women's Aid

The first step for practitioners is to contact Solace Women's Aid who provide a range of confidential support on domestic violence and abuse for Barnet residents, men, women and LGBT, over the age of 16.

Domestic Violence and Abuse Advocacy Service (DVAAS)

Call 0208 733 4113, Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm.

DVAAS offers information, advocacy and support to reduce risk and increase safety for adults and children affected by domestic violence and abuse, including support for forced marriage and honour based violence cases.


MARAC (Multi-Agency-Risk-Assessment-Conference) service in Barnet is provided by HESTIA.

MARAC is a meeting where information is shared on the highest risk domestic abuse cases between representatives of local police, health, child protection, housing practitioners, Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) and other specialists from the statutory and voluntary sectors.

If you're a practitioner working with a family that's experiencing domestic violence and abuse at home, you can find out more about the support that is available and make a referral, via the MASH, through the practitioner page on our Working with Children in Barnet website.


All multi-agencies practitioners can access FREE training offered through the Barnet Children’s Workforce Development Partnership.
