Holocaust memorial

Holocaust Memorial Day is an International Day of Commemoration when we remember the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered in the Holocaust, as well as the other groups persecuted by the Nazis including Roma and Sinti people, disabled people, gay people and political opponents. We also remember the outcome of persecution in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. 27 January was chosen as it is the anniversary of the liberation of the largest Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau.
