As COVID-19 pandemic unfolds across the UK, we are seeing more unfortunate deaths of our local residents. We been working with local partners across the borough and North London to ensure that we have plans in place to support people in such a difficult circumstances.
Consideration to faith is given a central focus nationally and locally. Faith leaders have been consulted nationally and worked with Public Health England (PHE) to ensure that communities, the funeral industry and the NHS are safe while funerals are organised and undertaken across the country while pandemic is ongoing.
Births - latest update
Government have told us that we can begin the process of opening for birth registrations.
We are making some changes to Hendon Town Hall at the moment to ensure the safety of all staff and visitors. We will re-open in stages, when it is safe to do so.
At first, we will carry out registrations for those who had cancelled appointments due to COVID-19.
There is a large backlog of appointments for registrations so please bear with us, as we restore services.
If you had a cancelled registration appointment
Once we are able to do so, we will contact you to re-arrange your appointment to register. There is no need for you to contact us.
We aim to address births in date order.
If you have a new registration to make
We are receiving a large number of enquiries. please do not contact us about a birth registration at the moment.
As soon as we can accept new registration appointments we will update this page.
We thank you for your patience and cooperation during the pandemic and recovery.
