The Children's Panel provides short-term support to unaccompanied children who have claimed, or are about to claim, asylum. The support offered includes assisting the child through the complexities of the asylum procedure, accompanying the child to asylum interviews, appointments with legal representatives and appeal hearings and building up a support network for the child involving a range of statutory and non-statutory service providers.
