Hilary is a specialist in nineteenth and twentieth century architecture, she is the leading authority on the late Victorian architect Sir Ernest George and the architecture of British crematoria. Her publications include Death Redesigned: British Crematoria, History, Architecture and Landscape (jointly commended by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals as an outstanding reference book published in 2006) Spire Books Ltd.

She will be talking on Golders Green Crematorium 1902-2002 A London centenary in context edited by Grainger and Jupp.
The talk will cover Hilary’s books, followed by a ten-minute Q&A session, with a mystery prize for the best question.
