Request for highway extent / adoption confirmation and plan - Irving Way NW9
Received: 5 January 2026
'Please treat this as a request for recorded information under FOIA/EIR.' I am writing to request written confirmation and, if available, a highway extent plan extract regarding the adoption status and highway boundary for the section of road known as Irving Way, Colindale NW9, within/adjacent to the Garrick Industrial Estate (near Unit 25 Irving Way / Wilberforce Road). This information is required for ongoing County Court proceedings (Claim No: 774MC344). Please can you confirm: Whether the relevant section of Irving Way (including the carriageway edge/kerbline where vehicles would wait/park) at/alongside Unit 25 Irving Way is an adopted highway maintainable at public expense (Highways Act 1980 s.36), and if so the extent (start/end points) of adoption. If available, please provide a plan extract or written description showing the highway boundary / extent for the above location (a 'highway extent plan', 'adoption plan', or similar). If there is a standard fee for this service, please advise and I will arrange payment. Whether the 'no waiting at any time' (double yellow line) restriction shown on your Traffic Orders mapping for Irving Way is made under a Traffic Management Order, and (if you can) identify the relevant order title/reference and confirm it applies to the location described above. Location details (to assist identification): Road: Irving Way, NW9 (Garrick Industrial Estate area) Reference point: outside/alongside the side elevation of '25 Irving Way' building; the main entrance of 25 Irving Way faces Wilberforce Road, and the vehicle location in dispute was on Irving Way along the side of that building. I have attached a photo of the front of unit 25 along the side of this building is Irving way nw9 and you can clearly see the double yellow lines this is where I was parked with my blue badge displayed but now I am in dispute with the private parking contractor they claim it is private land.
