I am writing under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following recorded information held by the Council. Please provide data covering the last three full financial years: 2023/24, 2022/23, and 2021/22 (or the closest equivalent periods if financial years differ).1.Expenditure on pothole repairs: The total amount spent by the Council on repairing potholes (including temporary and permanent fixes) on public roads within the borough, broken down by financial year. If possible, please also provide:oThe average cost per pothole repair (e.g., per incident or per kilometre of road).oAny specific budget allocation for pothole or general road repairs in each year.2.Legal claims and payouts for vehicle damage: The total amount paid out by the Council in compensation or settlements for legal claims from residents related to damage to vehicles caused by potholes or other road defects (e.g., under public liability or highways claims).
