Development of land at Central Avenue Grange Estate N2 for 8 Affordable Homes, associated public realm and landscaping 22/3539/Ful - Update [ID0195821]

I am writing to you on behalf of [Personal data - name and address redacted under GDPR legislation], who looks directly over the above development. I believe Planning Permission was granted in September 2022 with a start on site a few months later. We were told during the consultation period about the urgent need for more affordable housing in the borough, yet the building works (it is now early 2026) are still not complete.Could you please confirm the Start & Completion dates in the Building Contract for the erection of the new housing and associated works? Can you also explain why the development (in early 2026) has not yet reached Practical Completion and why there have been extensive periods of little to no labour on-site? While the new landscaping is a vast improvement, there is no play area for very young children, will this still be built?Frontage to Craven HouseDuring the pre-application consultation with yourselves and consultants, it was acknowledged that to landscape the area to the rear of Craven House and adjoining buildings needed to be carried out with improvements to the frontage (including re-siting the Paladins). This should have been an integral part of the works. Nothing was done to the frontage, the Paladins remain an eyesore, the large shrub (which has been there in a poor state for years) is practically dead and weeds proliferate. Can you please let us know your plans for improving the frontage?Access to new car parking strip to the left of Craven HouseThe new parking strip and landscaping is welcomed. However, people have trodden a path through the planting to get to and from their cars (a natural desire line). Can this cut-through be clearly identified by re-siting 3 or 4 shrubs, this would prevent existing and new planting being damaged by people walking across the planting strip?I look forward to hearing from you.
