I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information:Q1 How many pupils were registered in secondary schools in your area in the 2025/2026, 2024/2025, 2023/2024, and 2022/2023 academic years?Q2 How many pupils were registered in primary schools in your area in the 2025/2026, 2024/2025, 2023/2024, and 2022/2023 academic years?Q3 How many private and fee-paying schools in your area have closed or announced plans to close in the 2025/2026, 2024/2025, 2023/2024, and 2022/2023 academic years?Q4 How many new private and fee-paying schools have opened in your area in the 2025/2026, 2024/2025, 2023/2024, and 2022/2023 academic years?Q5 How many pupils were registered as attending independent fee-paying schools in your area in the 2025/2026, 2024/2025, 2023/2024, and 2022/2023 academic years?If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.
