Proposed Double Yellow Lines, Stockton Gardens NW7 (Ref: SCR679-08)

Received: 13 March 2026

As this proposal will significantly affect residents of Stockton Gardens, I am copying the Mill Hill ward councillors for transparency.Thank you for your response regarding the proposed double yellow lines at Stockton Gardens NW7.However, your reply does not address several of the substantive points raised in my objection and instead relies largely on general highway policy rather than evidence specific to Stockton Gardens. In particular, no evidence has been provided to support the assertion that parking at this location 'severely compromises manoeuvrability' or emergency access. You state that the proposal follows complaints and a 'comprehensive site assessment by an experienced engineer'. I would therefore be grateful if you could provide the evidence relied upon in reaching this decision, including:* The engineer's site assessment or report* Any traffic or manoeuvrability assessments undertaken* Records of complaints relating to parking at this location* Any consultation with emergency services* Any collision, safety, or obstruction records relating to Stockton Gardens* The rationale for the specific extent of double yellow lines shown on drawing SCR679-08My original correspondence also raised the point that the area described as a 'turning circle' does not appear to be formally designated as such. Your response does not address this point, and I would appreciate clarification as to the basis on which the council has classified it in this way.If the decision has already been made to proceed, transparency regarding the evidence and assessments underpinning that decision is essential. If the information requested is not readily available within the consultation team, please treat this email as a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
