Dear Sir,
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I'd like to know the following:
1) How many new allotment spaces have been created in Barnet per year, since 2000 (in year order)?
2) How many allotment spaces were created in Barnet between 1990 and 2000?
3) How many allotment spaces were created in Barnet between 1980 and 1990?
4) How many allotment spaces have been lost in Barnet per year, since 2000 (in year order)?
5) How many allotment spaces were lost in Barnet between 1990 and 2000?
6) How many allotment spaces were lost in Barnet between 1980 and 1990?
7) How many and which allotments have been sold by Barnet Council since 2,000? Please include sale costs and land areas.
8) How many allotments have been sold by Barnet Council that are now flats? Where and for how much? Please include sale costs and land areas.
9) How many allotment spaces have been applied for per year since 2000?
10) How many of those (See point 9) applications have been successful?
11) With regards to allotments and the law, I refer to the Small Holdings and Allotments Act 1908: 'In addition, when assessing demand the local authority must take into account any written representations on the need for allotments by any 6 RESIDENTS on the electoral register or persons liable to pay council tax. (section 23(2) of the Small Holdings & Allotments Act 1908)'. How many representations numbering 6 or above collectively have been received (taken into account) by the Council? And how many were successfully concluded in the allocation of additional allotment sites within the borough since 2000?
12) Why do the council never discuss allotments in Barnet First magazine?
13) How many allotment sites are owned by Barnet Council?
14) How many allotment sites were owned by Barnet Council in 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020?
