The Leader of Barnet Council, Councillor Richard Cornelius, said: “I would like to apologise to those residents who have experienced problems this week with the recycling and waste collections. We are continuing to move in the right direction. Collections are up to date and running to schedule. We are carrying out collections scheduled for today and expect to complete these by the end of today.

“We will carry on this momentum into next week, and do our utmost to collect residents’ recycling and waste on the allocated days. We have brought in additional staff to help us do this. Once again, I would like to thank our staff in street scene for their dedication and hard work.”

If your bin is not collected, please leave it out at the boundary of your property and it will be collected as soon as possible.

Barnet Council will be collecting real Christmas trees between 6 January and 3 February 2019 if they are left out by residents' bins on their correct collection day.
